A little dusty, faded top and toe of centre crease. Title within a fine decorated wreath with Olive branches, and fruit. At foot is the Royal Standard just jutting into the centre strip. Seven strips, with Directional Compass Rose to each one. Each strip is on a scale of 1" to the mile. Ogilby is credited at establishing the Statute Mile of 1,760yds. £165.00

Born in Northumberland in 1744 son of a farmer, he went on to become one of the country’s finest wood engravers. £225.00
