Printed on thick paper in three sections, The top half contains the large and decorative Title cartouche which shows Neptune on the left of the Cartouche, women serving /feeding two travellers from a large tub, while sea food of every description festoon the top of while in the centre is a coat of arms. The top half covers the East Coast from Hornsey in the South through Burlington to just North of Flambrough Head. The bottom half is in two. left is Hartlepoole on a scale of 2" to the mile and Scarborough at a scale of 4" to the mile. Each map has a compass rose and gives depths, shows sand banks etc. A scarce chart. £325.00

Greenvile) Sea chart of the coast line of Britain which begins in the South West at the Scilly Isles, runs along the South Coast to Smiths Point on the Lizard, on the North Coast to Bridgwater and Cardiff then up the West Coast to Carlisle and then over to the Mull of Galloway. In the West it begins on the North Coast of Ulster down through Belfast, Dublin and round to Kinsale just West of Kork (Cork) Includes Isle of Man in St. Georges Channel. 23"x18". [LONDON c1700]
Collins was commissioned to do this survey in the 1680’s and completed the job in 7 years, considered an amazing feat. Small tears occur on opp. Sides into map c.1"-2". This chart is dedicated to Sir Richard Rooth Late Governor of their Malies Fort. £265.00
